J'adore Paris: Day Four

Finally on Monday we got up to visit the Louvre (which we could not wait to see). Thankfully someone had suggested to us that we purchase our tickets before hand to avoid lines...we are so thankful we did. Even in the off season (October - February) it was still packed.

Our friends Kimmy and Felipe (His name is Philip, but we were in Paris after all) also told us to map out the 'must sees'. Again, a great piece of advice. The Louvre is massive and you literally are unable to see everything in one day (you can see it, but not take it all in that is for sure).  So we made a list (surprise surprise) and got those all done first (which took quite a bit of time) and then did some extra exploring.

While that is our trip...sorry these were so long. We made so many great memories, there just doesn't seem to be enough time or space (lol) to share it all on here.

But as Dave said, we don't have to share everything. Allow some of the memories to be just ours! And I suppose that is the best part...they are our memories.

Across from the Louvre

We Spot it!

Inside...bypassing the massive line outside thank goodness!
Going to find Miss Mona Lisa !

Yup..it was packed!

Seeing the 'Winged Victory' from the hall!

Truly Beautifiul.

Made it to Lady Mona!

Yup...hard to get in there! Point and shoot.

You had to push your way through....sadly, this is the only exhibit that many people come here to see! She was a lot smaller than I anticipated.

Looking out from inside the Louvre...not a bad view!

We loved this section of the Louvre.

Representing Canada!!!

Just amazing.

The 'Venus De Milo'. Another MUST SEE.

Taking a break...it was large ok. And after doing the Eiffel Tower, our legs were killing us.

Underneath the Louvre...really cool.

A depiction of the Last Supper (but not the same one).

Adam and Eve....or Desperate Housewives lol.

Not inside the Louvre...this was while just touring the Paris streets our last afternoon (after the Louvre).

All I could think of was that I must read the Davinci Code again lol.

Inside the Louvre

Doing our last little bit of touring

One final hot chocolate...a good choice!!

Almost over...Au Revoir Paris.

Going to miss this place.
