GoodBye Micro. and Hello Husband!

Well once again time has gotten the better of me.  I cannot believe how quickly time seems to 'fly' by here...I swear last week was September 1st.

Nevertheless, I have a ton to share and photos to boot!

First up: SO Beach Day/Midterm Social

At the beginning of November, the SO Board put together a midterm social for every SO and Student to attend. It was held at Grand Anse Beach and was a ton of fun. I did think I was going to die going on the tube (picture below) but I am so glad that Julie and Laura convinced me to have some fun.  I feel as though I need to take in as many experiences here as possible! Before I know it, our time on this beautiful island will be up, and I want every memory possible.

Once again our boys were in the middle of midterms and finals, but they managed to make it out for some lunch, and of course tried to enjoy some sun! But, when you are a medical student, in the midst of midterms and finals, this is a difficult task to do! I have learned to be grateful for the time Dave and I get to spend together. I know that all he can think about these days are tests, exams and studying, but I see everyday how he works hard to balance life. And I am so thankful for that.

Enjoying the beach!

Oh Julie...how we will all miss you!
Proof that Dave was in attendance lol!
My new little buddy! Love him!!!
Right before our tube adventure!
Trying to get onto the tube lol!
Yes, I was freaking out! And yes, I was holding on for dear life.
But, it was so fun!

End of Midterms and Finals:

Over the last few weeks, fourth term students have been on "lock-down' and preparing for some of the hardest tests in medical school thus far.  I was so proud, and utterly impressed, with how disciplined Dave really is.  For almost two weeks straight, Dave never left the house once and at every moment possible was immersed in notes, textbooks, and videos; I tried to capture these moments, but when you have a stressed out husband, you do whatever he asks. No pictures were part of his agenda lol!!

Friday, Novemeber 2nd was the final for Micro-biology...as I skyped with a friend from home, Dave walked in the door. I could see the stress had been lifted (until the weekend, when studying for the next midterm began) and was happy to see that he seemed to just be relaxed.  As I talked with my friend, Dave simply walked out of the bedroom holding his bathing suit...that is all I needed!!! For the first time in months, we were headed to the beach together!  I am certain that almost every fourth term student was at the beach that afternoon, but it was such a great afternoon/evening.

Study Group!
All the girls!
The Bromance!
They were a little excited to be finished Micro.
Excited to have my husband for a day!

Although we had a great friday evening, the fourth termers still had their CPD exam.  So, once again Dave was back to studying, while I tried to plan events outside of the house so that he could get in as much quiet time as possible. I may have been informed recently that I talk a lot.... Who would have ever guessed???

But monday came, Dave left for his exam and I had a plan in place. For almost a week I had been planning an 'exams are over, now have some fun' event. I saw an idea on pinterest, and thought it would be a good way for Dave to just rememeber to breath and let loose; something that is difficult to do when there seems to not even be enough time to study!!

This is what Dave came home to!

Our place is small, there wasn't really anywhere to hide lol!
We ran around in a circle lol!
And yes, we were soaked!
Dave takes these things seriously lol!
With some stress gone, we headed to Victory Bar with some great friends to celebrate the end of the hardest set of exams thus far.
Hanging out after lunch!

Together at last!

One gorgeous sailboat at the Port

Dave and Dave enjoying the pool!

It's funny, as you go through each term in medical school you feel as though you are 'getting the hang of things'. And then, BAM it all hits....a stressful class, a difficult professor, lack of time and sleep all come crashing down at full speed; this term has taught me to just be more flexible.

I have also learned so much about my husband, which is funny that after five years of marriage I am still learning so much.  He amazes me every day, and I am so grateful for all that he does for us. He is one hard working man!!!

And finally, the picture that sums up fourth term!

As we were finishing our lunch, the boys were all talking medical school (SURPRISE, SURPRISE). And then, they get an email that marks for the exams have been posted.

When I said previously that this term has been the most difficult, I was not kidding.  Basically the goal was to pass and never have to do microbiology again!  As you can see, Dave and Greg are hoping for some good news!!!

Pretty much sums up fourth term!

Hiking, Halloween Party, Halloween Bake Sale and more (Long Post)

A ton has happened in the last week or so. I remember thinking before moving down here, "What will I do with myself"?  I truly thought that with my lack of working, I would find it difficult to keep myself busy; boy was I wrong.

Here is a small summary of the last two weeks:

* Littles Halloween party
* Extra days of tutoring
* Grenada Bingo
* An Island Tour (this might have been three weeks ago now)
* Limes (three times a week)
* Hiking Mt. Qua Qua
* A little relaxing on Magazine Beach
*  Halloween Party at SGU
* Limes Thanksgiving party
* Limes Bake Sale
* Conscious Discipline Class (every Tuesday evening)
* First venture into St.George's by myself
* Our first package arriving
* Dave and his 'almost two weeks' of studying for exams (I could never do this!!!)

So, needless to say, I have been keeping myself extremely busy and trying to stay out of the house as much as possible, so that Dave can get in as much 'uninterrupted' studying as he needs for his exams.
